Why These Sources Matter
Colorado criminal justice records do not all live in one database. The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office creates the jail booking record and intake photograph and publishes a dated report for people still in custody. Its online report has no photo field, while Sheriff Records reviews requests for booking photographs and older records. Municipal police departments hold their own incident and arrest reports. Colorado Judicial Branch records show filed charges and the later disposition, which may differ from the allegation listed at booking. The Colorado Department of Corrections locator covers people in the state corrections system, not each person arrested in Pitkin County. We organize those official sources, their limits, and their request steps without copying the records or displaying faces.
What Is Covered
The content is arranged around the records question a reader is trying to answer.
- The home page maps the current-inmate report, unavailable daily and weekly feeds, released-person record requests, and lawful source-correction paths.
- Separate city pages explain how Aspen, Basalt, and Snowmass Village police records connect to a Pitkin County jail booking, including Basalt’s two-county issue.
- The custody path distinguishes the county report from Colorado Department of Corrections, federal, immigration, VINE, and court systems.
- Request guidance identifies the custodian, posted fees, likely record fields, and the limits on booking-photo release.
Limits of This Site
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office, Pitkin County Jail, a municipal police department, the Colorado Department of Corrections, the courts, or any other government body.
- We cannot release, hold, move, or confirm the location of a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for anyone.
- We do not provide legal advice or predict a court result.
- We cannot promise that an outside office’s fee, phone number, hours, or address has not changed.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, court, police department, or corrections agency can confirm custody, charges, release, and disposition.
Independent Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those companies control their own results, prices, subscriptions, and data practices. If a visitor follows a tool and buys a service, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep the reference content available at no charge. A referral does not make the provider’s result official, and we do not control its price or coverage.
